RUSINGA ISLAND FAMILY VACATION
Rusinga Island, with an elongated shape approximately 10 miles from end to end and 3 miles at its widest point, lies in the eastern part of Lake Victoria at the mouth of the Winam Gulf. Part of Kenya, it is linked to Mbita Point on the mainland by a causeway
Day 1
Arrival at Kisumu International
Upon arrival at Kisumu International, you will be transferred to the Lodge by road. Have dinner and relax.
Day 2
Engage in different activities
After breakfast, you can choose to engage in different activities at the Lodge or relax by the pool. The family can also do a wildlife and bird watching expedition together, kids will enjoy learning and naming different bird species that the island has in many numbers.

- Enjoy sun downers while viewing the sunset
- Dinner at the lodge
Day 3
Breakfast at the lodge and Activity options:
- Mountain Biking- enjoy riding bikes along the shores of the lake while being served with
spectacular sunrise/sunset views - Wellness center for massage therapy- take some time off to relax and unwind in the fresh
lake air breeze while you enjoy a couple’s massage - Hiking- the family can participate in hiking together and with the leadership of an
experienced guide - Fishing on the Jetty
- Sun downers
- Guided Bird Walks
- Paleontology & History, discover the amazing fossils that have been linked to evolution
of man at Rusinga - Boat rides
Day 4
Departure
After breakfast, check out at the lodge and transfer to airport.

- Meet & greet service by our local representatives at kisumu International Airport
- Two transfers in kisumu. Arrival and Departure transfers.
- Full board accommodation in Rusinga Island Lodge
- Applicable local and government taxes on accommodation and transportation
