Praslin is a lot smaller than Mahe, but still not very walkable. You can get around by buses, but it’s just so much easier to explore Praslin by car.
There are slightly fewer things you can do in Praslin vs Mahe, but there are two fascinating natural reserves that are worth visiting – the Vallee De Mai, where you can see the famous Coco De Mer that only grows in Praslin. Coco de Mer is a very interestingly shaped coconut (looks like a heart, or a butt).

Take a small drive around town to admire the various monuments, each telling their own story of a unique history. Then move on to the north of Mahe to the stunning Beau Vallon beach, where the sea is always inviting. Next move on to mission lodge to get a glimpse of the west coast. The day will continue with a drive along some of the most beautiful beaches one has ever seen on the east coast toward the south tip of the island. Visit the Jardin du Roi spice garden and rum distillery for a sublime experience you will never forget.
